I could not believe my eyes yesterday, I was catching up on the news and this headline caught my eye on the BBC website, “Store pulls monkey nuts from shelves over ‘peanut warning’“, it appears that North of England supermarket chain Booth’s packaged it’s own brand monkey nuts without a nut allergy warning, the supermarket has removed 300 packets of 350g Whole Hearted Roasted Monkey Nuts from its shelves. Booths has apologised and subsequently warned customers with a peanut allergy not to consume the product.
Booths technical manager Waheed Hassan said: “It is our responsibility as retailers to accurately record allergy advice, “In this instance, we felt a responsibility to recall the product and issue a notice to our customers who might suffer from a specific peanut allergy.”
What The Fuck !!, I had to check the calendar today I thought I had found the “April Fool” news story, well ladies and gentlemen I hope you, like myself have learned something, Monkey Nuts contain peanuts, well who fucking knew! just to clarify what a monkey nut actually is, monkey nut’s are peanuts with the shell or pod intact. to reiterate A PEANUT with shell or pod intact, just incase you didn’t get it second time A FUCKING PEANUT. if you have a peanut allergy the thing you steer clear of are fucking peanuts, regardless of the packaging having a warning or not a peanut is a fucking peanut don’t fucking eat it moron.
Booth’s went on to add to their statement:
“If you have an allergy to peanuts, please do not consume this product.”
No shit Sherlock, talk about stating the obvious.
What kind of moron’s have we been breeding over the last few years, if anyone with a nut allergy knowingly buys a product containing nuts and then consumes them, well frankly they deserve all they get, where does this stop, are we going to label everything to stop the moron brigade killing themselves, this my friends is preventing evolution progressing, getting rid of morons is paramount to human survival, they, moron’s that is, do have their place, for example on Harry Hill’s “You’ve Been Framed” morons doing stupid shit for the £250 reward tell us what not to do, like bouncing on a trampoline while on a bike and trying to juggle fire, under the influence of alcohol, you get the picture.
I expect to see further stories about someone who was killed because there was no warning on the car that ran them over, a warning saying this car will kill when hitting humans at high speed, or do we require warnings on our kitchen implements, warning these knives will cut your fucking fingers off. where will it all end.
I used to wonder about our ever growing “Nanny State” and is it really necessary to print every piece of information about a product, well seems so, the “Morons Are Us” maternity wing has opened it’s doors and spawned the earth with muppets.
